A Moment to Find Your Feet
Taking this time for yourself is a way of staying steady. It’s about having a dedicated hour to let a thought out into the open, share a story, and perhaps look at things through a different lens together.
When you are supporting someone through a mental health challenge or a major life shift, it is so easy for your own voice to get lost. You spend so much of your heart and energy looking after someone else, and it’s only natural that you might need a quiet moment for yourself too.
This is a private, honest space to catch your breath and talk about how you are doing, away from the noise and the roles you play every day.
What you will explore together:
-
A Place to Speak Freely: A quiet, supportive time to talk honestly about your own feelings and the challenges you’re navigating.
-
Understanding the Toll: Acknowledging the impact this journey has on your life and finding ways to mind your own well-being.
-
Holding Onto Yourself: Finding a balance where you can support your loved one while still feeling like yourself.
-
Finding Clarity: A chance to step back from the immediate pressure and find a bit of perspective and calm.
-
Practical Resilience: Grounded, peer-to-peer support to help you manage the day-to-day complexities with a bit more ease.
-
Protecting Your World: Keeping your own life and relationships healthy, ensuring you have the support you need to keep going.

You Don’t Have to Carry it Alone
This work you are doing is so important, but it’s just as important that the supporters among us have support too. We’re here to offer that bit of extra ground beneath your feet, helping you feel a little lighter before you head back into your day.
If you’d like a moment just to be heard and express what’s on your mind, please do book a time to talk. I’d love to listen.
FAQs
Whom will I be speaking with during the session?
When you book a one-to-one, we sit down together for a focused, human conversation.
I am here as a peer—someone who understands the specific landscape of supporting others through life changes and mental health challenges. This is a collaborative space where your experience as a supporter is the priority. I offer a steady presence and a listening ear, helping you navigate the complexities of your role with clarity and a sense of shared understanding.
Why is there a specific offering just for supporters?
Often, the focus is naturally on the person navigating a crisis, but those who provide the support also need a place to be heard.
The emotional energy required to walk alongside someone through a mental health challenge is significant. This service exists to give you a dedicated minute to get your thoughts out into the open and catch your breath. It is a recognition that for a support system to remain strong, the supporters themselves must have a space to unload and find clarity.
How is this different from a support group or talking to friends?
This is an individual, one-to-one conversation where the entire focus is on your specific journey.
While friends and groups offer wonderful community, this space is designed so you don't have to worry about the "give and take" of social conversation. You can speak freely about your own needs without feeling like a burden. It provides a simple, direct opportunity to find your own strength and perspective in a quiet, private setting.
Is this a mental health crisis line or clinical therapy?
This service is a peer-to-peer sanctuary and is not a substitute for clinical therapy, crisis intervention, or medical treatment.
I do not provide professional mental health diagnoses or psychological advice. Instead, this is a dedicated space for the person standing in the gap for others—a place to find your own footing and maintain your well-being. It is about providing a supportive environment where you can process your thoughts while continuing to be a present companion for your loved one.
What happens during our one-to-one time?
Our time together is about finding a moment of quiet away from the noise of the situation.
use the session to look at the thoughts and pressures you are carrying, helping you distinguish between what you can control and what you cannot. It is a space to establish healthy personal boundaries and move from a state of being overwhelmed toward a state of grounded presence. The goal is to leave the session feeling a little lighter and more grounded.
What if I feel guilty for seeking this out?
It is very common for supporters to feel they shouldn't need help themselves, but looking after your own well-being is what allows you to stay present for others.
Taking this time is an act of grounded responsibility; it ensures you don't become overwhelmed or burnt out. By finding clarity and support here, you are investing in your own ability to remain a compassionate and steady companion for the long haul.
